Juliana Denekamp Award 2011
Ester Hammond with her Group
The ESTRO-Varian Juliana Denekamp Award 2011 has been presented to Dr Ester Hammond. Ester received the award for "having demonstrated excellence and passion for biologically driven cancer research for radiation oncology". The award was presented at the 12th International Wolfsberg meeting on molecular radiation biology/oncology held 25th-27th June.
Ester presented her work on "targeting tumour hypoxia". Also from the Gray Institute and presenting at the meeting were Dr Anne Kiltie, Dr Emmanouil Fokas and Dr Osama Al-Assar.
