With the advent of the requirement for graduation from an accredited medical physics residency program in order to become certified and the emergence of Doctorate in Medical Physics, there has been some concern that radiotherapy physicists are becoming more like “trained” professionals, or even “glorified technicians,” than “educated” scientists.
