Research Outcomes and Communications Officer

This is a newly created post responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for raising the local, national and global profile of cancer research at Oxford University and Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust (OUHFT).
Working as part of the Department of Oncology Strategic Projects team and reporting to the team leader, you will be responsible for developing the strategy to achieve these objectives and also its practical implementation. This will require close working with researchers and stakeholders across the University, NHS Trust and funders.

IT Support Officer

This role forms part of a small team of IT professionals, providing local IT desktop, server and application support to staff and students within the Department.
You will be responsible for a range of IT related tasks and will work closely with members of the Department and with external IT colleagues. You will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget and will use initiative to problem solve, and implement improvements to current working methods.

Medical Technical Scientific Officer

The Sample Handling Laboratory in the Cancer and Haematology Centre, Churchill Hospital, Oxford processes patient samples from cancer clinical trials. The role of the postholder is to take receipt of and process clinical samples according to defined laboratory protocols. This will involve several techniques including centrifugation of blood samples, separation of plasma/serum and also of white cells for analysis at other laboratories.
