February 2015: OCTO News

An abstract based on the CHOP-OR Trial Primary Endpoint analysis has been submitted to the EHA 20th Congress of European Haematology Association conference, which will be taking place in June. We are hopeful to be offered either a poster or oral presentation session and will hear by the end of April 2015.

The CHOP-OR Protocol paper has been published by BMC Cancer - www.biomedcentral.com/1471-2407/15/52

The Primary Endpoint datalock has been performed this month. The analysis of the data has begun and an abstract for submission to ESMO European Cancer Congress 2015 is in preparation.

As part of study set-up a fantastic pre-trial SPARC Radiotherapy Workshop was held in Oxford on 27 February 2015.  Thanks to all those from Leeds and Glasgow who made the trip down to Oxford and in particular to those that gave interesting and discussion stimulating presentations on neo-adjuvant treatment of pancreatic cancer, margin intensive radiotherapy and the radiotherapy quality assurance for the SPARC trial.

Thanks for the teams in Oxford, Leeds and Glasgow for submitting their test case pre-trial outlines and plans for our QA team.

Set-up packs have been sent out to Oxford, Leeds and Glasgow and we are really excited to say that we are on track for opening to recruitment late March 2015.  If you have any questions about the trial please contact the SPARC Trial team.
