Supporting academic research within and outside of the university, we provide specialist analytical chemistry support in the majority through HPLC-MS or HPLC-MS-MS techniques with additional UV-visible absorbance and fluorescence detection abilities.

By providing new analytical methods as required, we support many aspects of drug development at the exploratory, preclinical and clinical study levels confirming compound identity, stability, solubility and protein binding efficiency as well as determination of cellular metabolites. We can provide expertise in the measurement of the distribution of drugs in blood, urine and tissues (pharmacokinetics) and biomarkers by ELISA (pharmacodynamics) for small phase 1/2 clinical trials under the guidance of GCP in our controlled-access laboratory. Advice on the analysis of biological samples in a laboratory under GCP guidelines can also be sought.
