Shivanki Sahay

S.Biomed, BBiomedSc

Student

MSc Radiation Biology Student

Background

Shivanki undertook a double degree program in Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences specializing in Tumour Biology at Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L) and in Molecular Life Sciences at Deakin University, Australia.

During her undergraduate years, she explored her professional interests through internships in each of the Government, Academia, Industry and Hospital sectors, and went to summer school at Boston University. She also served as a laboratory teaching assistant at i3L for two semesters and went on to conceptualise and implement, from scratch, a research project focused on cancer treatment and management for her undergraduate thesis study.

Through these experiences she discovered her deep interest in cancer research, particularly in radiobiology, leading her to enrol in this MSc Radiation Biology program at the University of Oxford. Here she is completing her dissertation with the Immune Radiation Biology group.
