Graduate Studies Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Studies Coordinator to join the Department. The role will involve a range of administrative duties relating to graduate students on the taught Masters and research degrees delivered by the Department of Oncology and CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology. The post will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all Oncology students, researchers and visiting lecturers and is a key role in ensuring Oncology students have a positive experience of administration within the Collegiate University. The postholder will be expected to acquire good knowledge of the University’s graduate studies programmes, policy and processes and a thorough understanding of the University regulations to provide guidance to students, faculty-based administrators and Directors of Graduates Studies on any matters related to graduate admissions and on-course administration.
The successful candidate will have a good general education, preferably to A-level standard or equivalent, a proven ability to communicate well at all levels and to deal confidently and appropriately with academic staff at all levels, with students and with a range of people external to the University. Relevant experience in administration, an ability to work to tight deadlines and use initiative is essential. Experience of working with University student record systems, such as the Oracle Student System (OSS) and in the field of higher education, particularly in relation to student administration is desirable.
This is a full-time post and is available for 3 years in the first instance.
