We are seeking applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. This post is funded by the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and the successful applicant will work on a project concerned with combined sonodynamic and radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer. This is a collaborative project between Professor J Callan and Professor A McHale (School of Pharmacy), Ulster University and Professor K Vallis (Oncology) and Professor E Stride (Institute for Biomedical Engineering), University of Oxford. The post becomes available on 1 July 2017 and is available for 2 years. The postholder will be based in the group of Professor Vallis but will work closely with Professors Stride, McHale and Callan and their groups.The postholder will lead a research project, the aim of which is to investigate the efficacy of the combination of sonodynamic therapy plus radiotherapy in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.You will hold or will be working towards a PhD or equivalent in biology, bioengineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience of radiation and ultrasound research. He/she will also have experience of murine models of cancer and hold a Home Office Personal License.This is a full-time post and is offered for 2 years in the first instance.All applicants must complete an application form and upload a CV and supporting statement.The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 10 April 2017.
