Monday, 02 December 2019, 2pm to 3pm
Hosted by Department of Oncology
Are most published research findings false? Why should we care? And is there anything we can do about it?
About this event
This talk will give an overview of some practical solutions such as open science and good research practices that can help make research findings more robust.
There are a number of solutions that can be implemented by individual researchers, and there are wider issues, for example around skills training and incentives, that require cultural change.
Verena will briefly outline the current and planned activities of the cross-divisional initiative Reproducible Research Oxford.

Verena Heise, NDPH Intermediate Fellow and Reproducible Research Oxford (the local network of the UK Reproducibility Network)
