Applications to this course for the 2025/26 academic year ARE NOW OPEN.

Applications for 2025/26 will open in September 2024. Please refer to the Graduate Admissions webpage for further details regarding Admission Status and Deadlines.  To be considered for scholarship funding your completed application must be received by the deadline of midday on Tuesday the 3rd of December 2024.  Applications received after this date will not be eligible for funding.

Applicants should hold, or be predicted to achieve, a first-class or strong upper-second-class undergraduate degree with honours in physics or a closely related subject. 

The application form

Your application form is the key resource for all admissions decisions including shortlisting for scholarships. Applicants will be required to supply a CV, official academic transcripts and the details of three appropriate referees. Do make sure that references are received before the closing date otherwise, your application will be deemed “incomplete”.

How places are awarded

Our graduate admissions round is highly competitive. Places are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and performance at interview.
