Welcome from the Head of Department

Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you on your exciting new role within our Department. It is your hard work and dedication which will support us in our mission to improve cancer care. Whatever the nature of your role, we cannot do our jobs without one another. Our successes are the result of the hard work of all of our staff.

 We are proud to be a diverse community, we value the experiences each person brings with them and we aim to foster an inclusive environment. Our core values of Respect, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity and Equality underlie our work and we expect these to be upheld in all that you do. We do not tolerate any form of harassment or bullying and we have a number of advisors who you can talk to, if you need to.

We run two main social events throughout the year - these are our way of saying thank you, so keep an eye out for these in the Department Newsletter.
