Radiation Biophysics: X-ray facilities
ORCRB x-ray facilities
This consists of a gantry mounted 320kV and 50 kV x-ray sets, housed within a shielded room is available in the ORCRB for radiobiology studies, imaging and teaching. Easily changeable filters and collimators and beam deliver direction, with plenty of room for axillary equipment. This has also been used to deliver collimated shaped fields down to dimensions of ~< 1 mm.
RRI 320kV x-ray cabinet for in vivo irradiations
Up to four samples irradiated at once in conjunction with lead shielding for partial irradiations. Heating, sample monitoring and isoflurane is available if required.
