Senior Scientific Officer Clinical Trials

BIOGRAPHY

Emma previously worked as a DNA sequencing scientist before joining the Sample Handling Laboratory in the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit. Emma has a Master’s in Experimental Therapeutics obtained from the University of Oxford. In her role as senior scientific officer clinical trials, she leads a five person team. She processes research blood samples from the oncology trial patients before onward shipping to analysis laboratories globally. Amongst other management tasks such as recruitment and training, she also manages the quality management system for the sample handling lab ensuring that the working standard operating procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments are kept up to date.
