Come to Oxford University's Old Road Campus to learn about the amazing science taking place in two of these buildings as part of the Oxford Open Doors scheme run by the Oxford Preservation Trust:

There will be a range of activities designed to show the public the research happening at Old Road Campus. Learn about Viruses and Infections, Vaccines, Neurons, the Heart, and Cancer through hands-on family-friendly activities. Learn how to pipette like a pro. See real laboratories with sample preparation robots and microscope demonstrations (>16yo). Meet our researchers through lectures and informal discussions.

There will be hot and cold refreshments available during the afternoon and the building is accessible.

The ORCRB, housing the Ludwig Institute, the Jenner Institute, the Department of OncologyOxford Cancer, the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, the Pandemic Sciences Institute and the Centre for Immuno-Oncology will be offering information and activities relating to the research done within the building. We are also looking forward to hosting researchers from the neighbouring Centre for Medicine Discovery team.

The Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine are also opening their doors for the first time in their new building, so make sure to find time to go and explore the research done in such a wonderful new site!

Throughout the day there will be talks from our scientists to the public - further details to follow.
