The usefulness of a networked electronic portal system for treatments in the head and neck area was assessed. Focus was in the consistency and clinical usefulness of the image quality and in the impact of the use of the system on the time constraints imposed by the number of patients treated on a single machine. Preliminary results show that the use of this system is more efficient than the use of film.
