Yifan Bao

DPhil Student

I am a DPhil student at the University of Oxford, starting in 2023. I had a background in pharmaceutics and my research interest shifted into cancer and genomics. I completed my Master's at Imperial College London, and subsequently worked as a Research Assistant at NDCLS, Oxford, investigating breast cancer. My current recearch centres on mechanisms of DNA repair. In this work, I'm exploring the role of FANCD2-FANCI in DNA interstrand crosslink repair, and its interaction with nucleases such as XPF-ERCC1.
