Professor Ester Hammond has been awarded an Excellence in Mentorship award from the American Radiation Research Society (RRS). The award was presented to Ester at the 2020 virtual annual meeting of the Radiation Research Society and is to recognise her as an ‘individual who has provided exceptional mentoring to Scholar-in-Training, towards both their professional and personal aspirations”. In 2015, Ester was awarded the Michael Fry Research award from the same society in recognition of her “extraordinary contribution to the field of radiation research”.
