Ava Connolly
Research Assistant
I completed my BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology at University College Dublin, where I investigated novel epigenetic markers in urogenital cancers and explored the role of lncRNAs in promoting cancer cell growth. Following this, I completed my MSc in Applied Cancer Science at the University of Oxford, where I investigated the immunogenicity of a novel cancer vaccine. I am now a Research Assistant in the Orlando Group, where I study how aberrant RAS signalling shapes gene regulation in colorectal cancer, with the goal of identifying transcription factor and chromatin factor dependencies that could inform new therapeutic strategies.
