Professor Karlseder is senior vice president and chief science officer (CSO) at the Salk Institute. He is also Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology, director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research, and the Donald and Darlene Shiley Chair for Research on Aging.
