As the Director of Studies on MSc Precision Cancer Medicine, I look after all academic matters for our cohorts, module-lead 'Introduction to Human Genetics and Genomics' and coordinate Canvas content and teaching.
I obtained my PhD (Molecular Medicine) at the University of Warwick and then took up a Research Fellow position in Endocrinology and Diabetes until 2009. I then joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in Oxford, as a Senior Researcher, funded by the British Heart Foundation (2009-2024).
My research expertise lies in the areas of Metabolism, Genetics, Cell Biology and I have extensive experience in cell-based assays, small molecule drug screening for target discovery, molecular phenotyping, protein post-translational modifications and -omics studies/analyses. I have worked in therapy areas covering cardiovascular science, diabetes, endocrinology, cancer.
Since 2021 I am a Stipendiary Lecturer in Cellular Biochemistry at St. Peter's College, Oxford, teaching Signalling, Metabolism, Cell structure and organisation, data handling to undergraduate students.
