Postgraduate teaching. As the Director of Studies on MSc Precision Cancer Medicine, I look after all academic matters for our cohorts, module-lead 'Introduction to Human Genetics and Genomics' and coordinate teaching throughout all Modules including online Canvas content.

My teaching was recognised by a Fellowship in Higher Education (FHEA) in 2024, while I have an ongoing interest in quality assurance of all teaching activities at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels. I am an active member of the Oxford Postgraduate Teaching Network (OPTN) participating in workshops and presenting on aspects of student experience.

Undergraduate teaching. Since 2021 I have been a Stipendiary Lecturer in Cellular Biochemistry at St. Peter's College, Oxford, teaching topics such as Signalling, Metabolism, Cell organisation in addition to other Part 1 exam papers on MBiochemistry Molecular Cellular.

Research activity. I obtained my PhD  (Molecular Medicine) at  the University of Warwick and then took up a Research Fellow position in Endocrinology and Diabetes until 2009.  I then joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in Oxford, as a Senior Researcher, funded by the British Heart Foundation (2009-2024).

My research expertise lies in the areas of Metabolism, Genetics, Cell Biology and I have extensive  experience in cell-based assays, small molecule drug screening for target discovery, molecular phenotyping, protein post-translational modifications and -omics studies/analyses.  I have  worked in therapy areas covering cardiovascular science, diabetes, endocrinology, cancer.

I am currently a supervisor of MSc theses in the field of cancer metabolism and related signalling pathways.
